We recently had the opportunity to frame a very old wedding photo.
The original mat was saved and re-used, but was elevated away from the photo due to its acidic nature (as evidenced by the uneven brown color of the mat, which was probably off-white back in the day).
Acid-free backing and conservation clear glass will keep this beauty in fine condition for the foreseeable future. The moulding suits it perfectly, we love the moment where we o “that’s it!”
