Here’s a pretty little painting by Carlis Chee, an artist who’s currently showing down the street at the newly opened Zia Gallery. While double matting is a frequent customer request, we generally aren’t fans of the way a very dark mat competes against a much lighter one. Here’s an example of a subtle double mat treatment that does a wonderful job of complementing the artwork.
